How do I deposit a check with my mobile phone?

Depositing a check through our mobile app is easy, fast, and secure.

Start by logging in to the mobile app on your device. If you have not yet downloaded our mobile app, please visit the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Login with the same credentials you chose when you established your account. 


To deposit a check through the mobile app*:

  • Endorse the back of your check. You must also write "For Mobile Deposit Only to Old Glory Bank" on the back under your signature.
  • Click Deposit Check on the menu bar at the bottom of the screen.
  • Choose which Old Glory Bank spending account you wish to have the check deposited into, if you have more than one account. 
  • Enter the amount of the check to be deposited. 
  • Tap the box to take a photo of the front of the check. 
    • Place the check on a flat surface. It's often helpful to place it on a dark background. 
    • Line the check up with the guides on your screen. When the check is centered properly in the screen view, click the round button to take the picture. 
    • If the image is clear and legible, click Use Image. If not, click Retake and repeat the steps above.
  • Flip the check over and use the image capture function again to submit a picture of the back. Make sure you have endorsed the check and written "For Mobile Deposit Only to Old Glory Bank". 
  • Click Submit Deposit.
  • The app will give you a confirmation screen if your check was deposited successfully.

    *Not available for savings accounts.

Old Glory Bank may place a hold on your deposit in accordance with our Funds Availability policy. Read more: What holds might Old Glory Bank place on a check deposit?


To view your Deposit History:

  • Click Deposit Check on the menu bar at the bottom of the screen.
  • Click the Deposit Check History tab at the top of the screen. 
    • The default view shows all checks deposited in the past 30 days. 
    • "Submitted" includes checks which were successfully deposited but are still in process.
    • "Accepted" includes checks which were deposited and processed, with the funds credited to your account.

Note on Processing Times:

  • If the check is deposited before 4:00 pm CST and no hold is necessary, then the funds should be available for use in your account by the next business day*.
  • If the check deposited requires a hold, then the funds may be delayed, and a Hold Notice will be provided to you by the next business day. The notice will include details on the amount being held and the reason for the hold. For more information, please see the Funds Availability information in our Terms and Conditions Disclosure.

*Business days are defined as Monday through Friday, with the exception of Federal Holidays.
