How do I designate a beneficiary/payable on death (POD) for my Freedom Savings, Freedom Spending, or Premium Checking accounts at Old Glory Bank?

Beneficiary designations are one of the easiest ways to transfer assets to loved ones and family members. Your account can be transferred to someone else without anyone second-guessing where you would like your funds to go. Naming a beneficiary can also be an effective estate planning tool, helping you avoid complicated, lengthy probate and giving your recipient immediate access to funds when you pass on. You might also find it gives you incredible peace of mind knowing that you’ve taken one small step toward easing any extra burden on your loved ones.

Who can be named a beneficiary?

  • Any living person
  • Nonprofits
  • Trusts

*If you name more than one person or entity, funds will be divided in equal shares.
