How do I initiate a wire transfer from my business account?

NOTE:

Do not send wire requests via secure message; they will not be processed. 

Sending money via wire transfer is a convenient, secure way to send funds from your business account at Old Glory Bank to another bank in the US or abroad. When time is of the essence, your *US dollars will be transferred electronically and deposited quickly into your recipient’s account. It’s that easy!  

*All transfers will be in US dollars start to finish; they will not be converted to foreign currencies.  

 

When requesting a wire, you will be asked to provide: 

  • Your Old Glory Bank Account Number  
  • The Purpose & Amount of the Wire Transfer 
  • Receiver Bank Name – Name of bank receiving funds 
  • *Receiver Bank Routing Number, SWIFT/BIC, IBAN, CLABE, or BSB  
  • **Beneficiary Name – Name of person/business/trust receiving funds 
  • Beneficiary Address & Phone Number- Address & Phone Number of person/business/trust receiving funds 
  • Beneficiary Account Number – Account number of person/business/trust receiving funds 

 

Wires are processed on business days (Monday through Friday, except federal bank holidays) before 4:00 p.m. CST. If a wire is submitted after this time, it will not be processed until the next business day. 

 

Fees:

$30 fee for outgoing domestic wires. 

$40 fee for outgoing international wires.

$30 fee for incoming international wires.

Incoming domestic wires are free. 

Fees are subject to change. 

Fees will be deducted from your account.

Please check with the receiving bank for any fees they might charge.  

 

 

Note: Any funds involved in an outgoing wire must be on deposit for at least 24 hours. 

 

To request a DOMESTIC business wire transfer: 

  1. Start by creating a recipient profile. 
  • Log in to your account. 
  • Click the Business Banking Tab. 
  • Click Recipients. 
  • Click New Recipient. 
  • Enter Name of Recipient, Recipient Email Address, and Click the “Send email notification for template payments” box if you would like the recipient to receive an email informing that a wire is being sent. 
  • Payment Type is set at Wire Only. 
  • Beneficiary Type is set on Domestic. 
  • For the Beneficiary (FI) Financial Institution, enter the recipient bank name, routing number/ SWIFT/BIC, IBAN, CLABE, or BSB and address. 
  • Under Recipient Details, enter the name of the business or person to whom the wire is being sent in the Wire Name text box. Enter the business or personal address. Leave ACH text boxes blank. 
  • Review entry information and correct or click Save Recipient. 

 

 2.   Request the Wire. 
  • From the Menu, select Business Banking. 
  • Click Payments. 
  • Click New Payment. 
  • Click Domestic Wire. 
  • Under Origination Details, choose the account you wish to send the wire from along with the date to process the wire; this must be a business day. You also have the option to set a schedule for recurring wires. 
  • Under Recipient/Account, choose your wire recipient (from your created recipient profiles) and amount of the wire. 
  • Click on OPTIONAL WIRE INFORMATION to expand the box. Write a Message to the Beneficiary. As a best practice, this should always be completed as it travels with the wire. 
  • The Description is optional. It does not travel with the wire or populate in the transaction history, but it could be beneficial for your bookkeeper. 
  • Click Approve to proceed with the wire OR Click Draft to save the wire for review or approval. 
  • To complete the wire approval, you will receive an SMS verification code to enter.  
  • Once you have submitted the wire, you will receive a verification phone call from one of our business bankers. They will verify you and the wire information to ensure the validity of the request. If we are unable to connect with you, the wire will not be sent. 

  

How can I view my wire transfer? 

  • From the Home screen, choose Transfers & Payments. 
  • Click Online Activity. 
  • Click Single Transactions or Recurring Transactions depending on the nature of your wire. 

 

If I have chosen to draft a wire, how do I go back and approve it? 

  • From the Home screen, choose Transfers & Payments. 
  • Click Online Activity. 
  • Click Single Transactions or Recurring Transactions depending on the nature of your wire. 
  • Click on the 3 dots to the right of the individual wire. 
  • Approve the Wire. 

 

To request an INTERNATIONAL business wire transfer: 

  1. Call our Customer Service team in Oklahoma to request an International Business Wire Transfer. They can be reached from Monday to Saturday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. CST, at 888-44-OldGlory (888-446-5345). Press 0 to speak directly with an agent.   
  2. A Customer Service Representative will verify your information and send you instructions via email for how to proceed.

What are some possible routing numbers/codes I might use? 

*Account Numbering Identifiers/Codes: 

Routing Number - The bank routing number, often called the ABA (American Bankers Association) routing number, is a bank’s 9-digit identification number. 

SWIFT/BIC - A SWIFT (Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication) code is an 8 or 11 alpha-numeric character Business Identifier Code (BIC) used by banks and payment providers when making international transfers. 

IBAN - An IBAN, or international bank account number, is a standard international numbering system developed to identify an overseas bank account. Do not include dashes or spaces. 

CLABE – Clave Bancaria Estandarizada is the standard for bank account numbering in Mexico and is required when sending wire transfers to Mexico. It consists of an 18-digit account code/number. Do not include dashes or spaces. 

BSB – Bank State Branch is used as a 6-digit numerical code that identifies an individual branch of an Australian financial institution. A SWIFT identifier is used in addition to the BSB identifier and a bank account number. Do not include dashes. 

 

 

**Regarding Beneficiary Address: If beneficiary is a Person, we must have that Person's address. If the beneficiary is a Business, we must have that Business's address. If the beneficiary is a Trust/IOLTA account, it is acceptable to use bank's address.
