What is digital card issuance?

Digital Card Issuance provides a secure way for cardholders to continue digital transactions while they wait for their physical cards to arrive in the mail after opening a new account or receiving a replacement card.

Old Glory Bank customers will receive a temporary digital debit card after opening a new Freedom Spending or Premium Checking account. If a customer reports a debit card lost or stolen, a temporary digital card will be available up to two business days after the customer requests a replacement card. This digital-first solution allows you to view your pre-activated card in your Old Glory Bank App or online banking on your computer until your physical card arrives in the mail (usually delivered within 10 business days*).

You will see your permanent card number, temporary CVV/CVC, and temporary expiration date for online and over-the-phone transactions. You can add your card to Apple Pay ®, Google Pay ®, or Samsung Pay ® to transact in-store, in-app, or online before physical card activation wherever pay wallets are accepted.

Your digital card will remain active for up to 30 days or until your new physical card is activated. Once your physical card arrives and is activated, the temporary Digital Card will be deactivated in Card Manager and your phone wallet.

* Please contact Old Glory Bank customer support for assistance if your physical card has not arrived within 10 business days.

New Account

Once your account is approved, your digital debit card will be issued and should appear in your wallet within two business days.

New customers should have created a Username to log in to online banking when the account was approved. If not, create one now using the Enroll button on the login screen.

To view your digital card, go to Card Manager from the Main Menu of your Old Glory Bank mobile app or online banking portal.

In the Card Manager feature, you will see the Digital Card with a temporary expiration date and CVV.

Add the card to your Digital Wallet (Digital Issuance supports major digital wallets, including Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay.):

  1. Open Card Manager with your Old Glory Bank app from your mobile device.
  2. Find your Digital Card as described above.
  3. Select the option to add your Digital Card to your Digital Wallet under the image of your card.
  4. Follow the device-specific instructions on the screen to add your card.
  5. You should be able to view and use your card in the Digital Wallet.  To view your card, under  Card Details choose View Digital Card and enter the Security Token. You will see all of the card details necessary to make a purchase.
  6. To remove your Lost card from view, select the gear icon on the top right corner of the screen. From there, you can select which cards you want displayed.

THIS IS A TEMPORARY CARD UNTIL YOU RECEIVE YOUR PHYSICAL CARD. DO NOT SET UP RECURRING PAYMENTS UNTIL YOU HAVE YOUR PHYSICAL CARD.

NOTE: All digitally issued cards will have the words “ACTIVATE CARD” across the front. No activation is required for digital issuance, and these words will remain until the permanent plastic card is received and activated.
